ROOM WITH A VIEW

At the top of the stairs, tucked under the eaves, is our latest, spacious (26m²) bedroom with a lovely view to distant mountains. 

​

A rooftop deck leads into a beautiful room furnished with carefully chosen pieces, a small kitchenette for tea or coffee making, an en-suite shower room (3m²) and a dressing area with a second basin. 

 

The extra-long double bed is made up with top quality sheets and pillows and your rest is assured as you snuggle down under a pure cotton or wool duvet and pure cotton sheets.  Linen blinds and mohair rugs complete the picture.

The room is warmed in winter with wall panel heaters and cooled in summer with an evaporative cooler.

​

There are two pools to choose from: one, a swimming pool, the other a dip or splash pool.  A wall safe for your valuables as well as off-road parking is provided.

DE OUDE KOMBUIS

A beautifully spacious room (25m²) with an entrance off the deep verandah and overlooking the sparkling swimming pool. 

​

The facilities include an en-suite bathroom (4.6m²) with large shower, tea kitchenette with fridge, clothes hanging rail and luggage rack. 

Wall heaters keep you warm in winter and an evaporative cooler is great in summer. 

Natural fibres are used throughout and aesthetically pleasing old Cape furniture ensures a relaxing stay.

THE LOFT ROOM

Tucked under the eaves of the old donkey shed this spacious room is shaded by an old jacaranda tree but does have an air-conditioner for hot summer nights.

 

The room is furnished with 2  antique single, extra long brass beds that can be made up into two singles or one king-size bed. It has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. There is an open deck with views of the beautiful garden, Swartberg mountains and starry night sky.

THE GARDENER'S COTTAGE

Old Karoo outbuilding with thick walls in shady, flower-filled garden. The gorgeous bedroom has an antique double Victorian brass & iron bed with an en-suite bathroom with shower. The room also has an air-conditioner.

 

The adjoining sitting-room with wood-burning stove and reading/sleeping nook,   opens onto a pretty private stoep & courtyard with summer kitchen & braai facilities.

LADY CHATTERLEY'S CHAMBER

A large high-ceilinged Victorian bedroom, furnished with an antique iron four-poster extra long bed & family heirloom furniture opening onto the deep covered back stoep. 

 

The room is cooled by an evaporative cooler, there is a ceiling fan and all the windows are fitted with wooden shutters.

 

The en-suite bathroom has a shower.

THE LIBRARY

Sleep in a beautifully comfortable iron four-poster double bed, in a spacious high-ceilinged room of lovely proportion, which opens onto a covered verandah and looks upon our tranquil garden.

 

The room is cooled by an evaporative cooler.

 

The bathroom is a quaint en-suite shower room.
